Start with how you want it to feel.

Every travel site asks where you want to go. That is the one thing a lot of people cannot answer. TripHook asks how you want the trip to feel, and works out the where.

Why we built it

You have two weeks free and some money set aside. You open a flight site and it asks where to. You do not know. That is the question you came with.

So you read a listicle, ask around, and end up somewhere a colleague mentioned. It is usually fine. It is rarely the trip you would have chosen if you could have seen the options.

The information to answer it properly does exist. What the weather is actually like there that month, what is on while you would be there, roughly what it costs to get there and stay. It is just scattered across a dozen sites that do not talk to each other, and assembling it by hand is a job nobody wants.

So we assemble it. You say how you want the trip to feel, what you can spend and roughly when. We look across 432 destinations and rank them on the weather, what's on, and what it is likely to cost.

How it works

  1. Describe the trip, not the place. Pick a mood, a budget and a rough month. You get destinations ranked on the weather, the events on your dates, and what the trip is likely to cost.
  2. Book it yourself, directly. We link you out to airlines, stays and providers, and you pay them. We never hold your money. Some links earn us a small commission, at no extra cost to you.
  3. Find people, or ask for prices. Post the trip if you want company, and other travellers can ask to join. Or ask local providers to quote for a place you like, and compare what comes back.

That is the short version. The longer one is in Help.

About the fishing words

You will meet a few: drop a hook, get hooked, reel in. They are ordinary actions wearing a costume, and none of them means anything you would not guess in context. Every one is defined plainly in Help.

What we will not do

  • We do not take your money. Every booking is between you and the airline, the hotel or the provider. There is no shared wallet and no escrow, so nobody on a trip is ever holding anybody else's cash.
  • We do not ask for your passport. We verify an email address and nothing else. There is no identity check, no document upload, and no photo of you anywhere in this product.
  • We do not run advertising trackers, and we do not sell your data. Nobody pays us to rank higher, and there is no paid placement in the results.
  • We do not charge providers a commission. If that ever changes, providers will be told before it takes effect.

Who we are

TripHook is made by POLEMARHI DOO, a small company in Paraćin, Serbia. Your data is stored in the European Union. If you want to reach a person, the address is on the legal notice, and there is no contact form because a form would collect more about you than an email already does.

TripHook is free to use. We earn a commission when you book through one of our partner links, and it costs you nothing extra.
